We all have Mental Health and we can ALL be affected by a Mental Health condition - this includes family, friends and colleagues.

This course is 12 hours in length spread normally over 2 consecutive days. If you require more flexibility, the course can be delivered over more than 2 days (must be completed within 10 weeks) permitting each class is 2 hours or more in duration.

Building on the Level 2/5 Award in First Aid for Mental Health, this covers a wider range of mental health conditions plus goes into greater detail on the wide range of therapies and professional support available from professional bodies for people with mental health conditions.

The course is suitable for all persons within a workplace but is aimed at those who hold a supervisory/managerial level position and who have responsibility for implementing a positive mental health culture and responsibility for First Aid for Mental Health within an organisation.

Good To Know

  • Delegates will be awarded the Ofqual regulated Level 3 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health (RQF)/Award in Leading First Aid in Mental Health at SCQF Level 6.

  • Each delegate will get a certificate that is valid for three years (annual refresher training is highly recommended)

  • Qualification is gained and assessed through summative practical assessment ongoing by the instructor each day, along with a written assessment on each day.

  • 16 delegates can be accommodated on this course but all must be a minimum of 16 years of age to qualify.

Location and Costings

Onsite: We will deliver this course at your location for a group of 16 people (must be 16+). If you have a number of employees you wish to train in Supervising First Aid for Mental health, why not contact us to come on-site and deliver it at your workplace. We will provide all equipment and training essentials.
