We all have Mental Health and we can ALL be affected by a Mental Health condition - this includes family, friends and colleagues.

​

This awareness course is just 4 hours in duration, suitable for everyone and ideally run over 1 day. If greater flexibility is required, it can be run over a period of 6 weeks permitting each lesson is a minimum of 2 hours in length.

 

It aims to provide delegates with the knowledge to identify and recognise a suspected mental health condition and the skills to start a conversation and be able to signpost a person towards professional help.

All members of the public can benefit from this course and it is a great stepping stone into First Aid for Mental Health.

What We'll Cover

A range of subjects are covered including:

  • What is First Aid for Mental Health?

  • Identifying mental health conditions

  • Providing advice and starting a conversation

Good To Know

  • Learners will be awarded the Ofqual regulated Level 1 Award in Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health (RQF)/Award in Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health at SCQF Level 4.

  • Each delegate will get a certificate that is valid for three years (annual refresher training is highly recommended)

  • Qualification is gained and assessed through a multiple choice question paper.

  • 16 delegates can be accommodated on this course but all must be a minimum of 14 years of age to qualify.

Location and Costings

Onsite: We will deliver this course at your location for a group of 16 people (must be 14+). If you have a number of employees you wish to train in Awareness of First Aid for Mental health, why not contact us to come on-site and deliver it at your workplace. We will provide all equipment and training essentials.
